This “budget” winch is a good buy for the money. It pulls with 9000 lbs of power and there is nothing budget about that. Pros: Powerful pulling, easy to use , will pull seemingly anything Cons: the neutral nob broke off.(disengages the engine so the spool can turn freely) It is not a major problem.

I am very happy with my s5000 superwinch. I used it to drag a old car onto my trailer that hasn’t moved since 1984. Using a snatch block, I dragged the car with 3 flat tires with only the front tires turning. The only problem I had was the cable wanted to roll up on one side. The long control cable made it easy to walk around and do what needed to be done because I loaded it by myself.

Seems to be well made. Does the job. We are lifting 2200 lbs. Only minor complaint is that the clutch was not adjusted right so the load slowly releases when turn off power. But there are instructions to fix that.
