We purchased the RT25 and Warn mounting kit for a Yamaha Grizzly 700. The installation instructions for both the winch and mounting kit are Top 10 poor – they are difficult to follow, have few usable illustrations, and leave out key information. Particularly bad were the instructions for a key safety item for tying in the controller into the ATV power; the first instruction called for using a wiring sub-harness from Yamaha that does not exist.. That said, there is good information online – especially try this forum entry, which has photos of key steps and information: […]. I wish we had found this forum earlier; we could have saved an hour in which we puzzled through the same problems and, fortunately, reached the same answers. So why the four-star rating? This Warn winch – and all of its sister products – have stellar reputations and a great record of durability. PS. Purchase the mounting kit (which I had difficulty finding except through Amazon) as the RT25 does not mount directly to the Grizzly.
